I decided my father and my friends go to the desert in the UAE on Thursday, was on holiday. We went in the Land Cruiser, had four large tires. Was our number ten, the car was very full, he told us to not need to connect the seat belts, and while we're on the road and we faced some difficulties in walking because the earth is not flat, sandy dunes and our part so that the car skidded and paste in the sand.We were waiting for hours to take it out of the sand, but to no avail. We were busy in finding a solution to remove the car and suddenly he turned to his successor Muhammad saw some Bedouins on camels, and when he saw us laughed and told us the first time we see people of the city attached to their car in the sand. Help us nomads in our car out of the sand and they told us again that we bring with us many of the withdrawal of the car and bring in two cars and not one car. We thanked them for helping us, and we completed the adventure in the desert until the dissolution of the darkness and back to the city happy, and told us our flight school and was impressed by the students.

Weather is the state of the atmosphere, to the degree that it is hot or cold, wet or dry, calm or stormy, clear or cloudy. Most weather phenomena occur in the troposphere, just below the stratosphere. Weather refers, generally, to day-to-day temperature and precipitation activity, whereas climate is the term for the average atmospheric conditions over longer periods of time. When used without qualification, "weather" is understood to be the weather of Earth.
Weather is driven by density (temperature and moisture) differences between one place and another. These differences can occur due to the sun angle at any particular spot, which varies by latitude from the tropics. The strong temperature contrast between polar and tropical air gives rise to the jet stream. Weather systems in the mid-latitudes, such as extratropical cyclones, are caused by instabilities of the jet stream flow. Because the Earth's axis is tilted relative to its orbital plane, sunlight is incident at different angles at different times of the year. annually. Over thousands of years, changes in Earth's orbit affect the amount and distribution of solar energy received by the Earth and influence long-term climate and global climate change. Surface temperature differences in turn cause pressure differences. Higher altitudes are cooler than lower altitudes due to differences in compressional heating. Weather forecasting is the application of science and technology to predict the state of the atmosphere for a future time and a given location. The atmosphere is a chaotic system, so small changes to one part of the system can grow to have large effects on the system as a whole. Human attempts to control the weather have occurred throughout human history, and there is evidence that human activity such as agriculture and industry has inadvertently modified weather patterns.

    Agriculture in the UAE

Lying in the heart of the world's arid zone, the UAE has little rainfall and one would expect it to be a barren place. Barren places there certainly are, but the process of desertification has very largely been arrested in the country. It is now possible to see forests, fields of grass and wheat where once there were only desert sands and winds.
The UAE has a long tradition of agriculture in its oases where crops have been grown for 5000 years. Underground water was chandelled to palm groves and small fields and the technique is still used today. Since the formation of the UAE in 1971, this small scale traditional farming has been complemented by investment that has seen thousands of hectares being cultivated.
In the past 25 years, the country's population has increased ten-fold and agricultural production has kept pace with this growth. The country is self-sufficient in salad crops and poultry for much of the year and even exports crops to markets in Europe. Most of the UAE's agricultural production comes from four areas: from in and around Al Ain, from a narrow but fertile strip along the east coast, from the oasis of Dhaid east of Sharjah and from the gravel plains in Ras al Khaimah.
According to figures from the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, agricultural production stands at over Dh 2 billion per year. An average crop season yields over 600,000 tons of crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, lettuce, cabbage and animal feed.
Studies have shown that much of the country's soil can be cultivated provided there is water and as a result, there has been an extensive programme to drill water wells. The government will prepare land for local farmers which they are then given free along with seeds, machinery and advice on pest control.
There is also government-funded research on different crops to see how they adapt to the local climate.
In an attempt to conserve and use as much water as possible in as many ways as possible, the government has embarked on a three-part programme designed to make the most advantageous use of this scarce resource.
First, farmers are given advice on how to reduce their consumption of water, mainly through trickle irrigation. Desalinated water as well as recycled and purified sewage effluent is used.
Second, with the help of the United States Geological Survey, the government is searching for new aquifers and monitoring current rates of extraction.
Third and last, to prevent the waste of valuable rainwater, retention dams have been constructed in many areas. These store the water until it can be used for irrigation. Tens of millions of gallons of rainwater are being retained by the dams already built throughout the Emirates.
In the long run, of course, it is realized that desalinated water will provide the bulk of agricultural water.
There is more to agriculture than simply growing crops. One area that has seen dramatic growth is the keeping of poultry for meat and eggs. The same is true of dairy products. Herds of imported cattle have adapted to the climate and are now producing milk, cheese and yogurt for the local market.
The presence of trees and gardens in the UAE is always noticed and commented upon by visitors. Over 10 million trees have been planted plus more than 18 million palm trees. In all the cities and towns of the UAE, there have been beautification campaigns with the creation of parks and gardens for the local people. Any householder, even those in flats, can get free plants from the Municipality under a programme that distributes thousands of plants annually.
Besides the greening of the cities and towns there has also been a massive programme in the desert and it is here that most of the trees have been planted. Flying over the desert, one now sees great patches of green where formerly there was only sand. All kinds of arid region plants, XXXX local and imported, have been planted and as they grow to maturity, their roots reach down to the natural water supply. When this happens, they will be able to survive with little care and attention.
The face of the land and the environment too have been changed. Wildlife flourishes as do native plants and animals.
The UAE was never purely and simply a desert. Today it has become a place where greenery can be seen in XXXX urban and rural areas. Twenty years of dedicated commitment have made the point that the process of desertification is reversible. And given time and money, that is exactly what has happened and is continuing to happen.

    English Customs And Traditions

The British are said to be reserved in manners, dress and speech.
Their insularity, conservaticism and sticking to traditions are often pointed too. They are famous for their politeness, self - discipline and their specific sense of humour. May be many British are such in their nature but not at all. There are big differences in manners between individuals even within one nation. It is similar with customs and traditions. Many traditional British customs have changed as the way of life has changed.
Very popular always was Valentine's day on l4th February. It is a great day for all lovers. Originaly this day commemorated the Roman priest who gave aid and comfort to the persecuted Christians before he was put to death. On this day young people send Valentine's cards to a person of opposite sex, usually anymiously, and exchange gifts. Cards can have serious and loving text e.g. Roses are red, violets are blue, you will be mine cose I love you, or they can also have funny character e.g. My love for you is as big as elephant and on the next side is drown fat girl with text below but then, so are you.

In march there are two interesting days - St. David's day (the patron of Wales) and St. Patrick's day ( the patron of Ireland so people are often dressed in shamrocks). The day of the patron of England, St.George, is celebrated in April. The next tradition also on April is well know in our country too - it is All Fool's day. It is called after the simple shouting "Fool". You can shout it when you deceive someone else by funny XXXX or trick. But this tradition is not the last in this month. The greatest one only comes - it is Easter that is spring feast of Christian church. Good friday commemorates Jesus' crucufixion while Easter Sunday commemorates the Resurrection of Jesus. Dyed and decorated easter eggs - symbol of a new life, are given as presents. Than comes May Day when political parties of the left hold processions and public meetings. But for British May Day also means the traditional spring festival. In the days people went out into the woods before dawn to cellect flowers and green branches. The custom only survives in a few places but some maypoles are still to be seen and the election of a May Queen still takes place in parts of England. This day is connected with Morris dancing. It is performated specialy on religious holidays, weddings and events just like May Day. It has the real roots in Africa and Asia and in the l7th century the main performance was a kind of pageant or play. E.g. Elizabethan pegeant performed by Morris dancers was based on the Robin Hood legend. This involved a Lord of Misrule - choosen specialy for this occasion - being crowned and then choosing his own personal bodyguard. Other performers included drummers, pipers, dragons and hobby-horses. Teams of Morris dancers usually have a specially dressed Squire or Bagman in charge. Ordinary dancers normally wear white shirts and black trousers. Short round hats or taller topper are decorated with flowers and coloured ribbons. These all have special significance. Red poppies are sign of health, white poppies of plenty, blue cornflowers represent blessedness or holiness, white hankerchiefs waved from the hand symbolise the gathering and scattering of magical energy over earth and crops. Morris dancers usually perform the very old ritualistic ceremonies associated with fertility and the re-awaking of the earth after winter.

There is also Mother's day in May that honours all mothers. Fathers are also no forgotten - the day dedicated to them is the 3rd Sunday in June. And only a few days before it is celebrating of Qeen's Official Birthday in the middle of June. There are various ceremonies associated with it as ceremony of the Trooping the colour and the Horse Guards Parade. The Queen, her husband, and the Prince of Wales, all on horseback, are present. Trooping the Colour is a military pageant that dates back to times before the Regular British Army came into existence. In these days soldiers were billeted in private houses, not in barracks. Every day the officers and men that were to be on the guard would assemble around the regimental colours or flag. The next step was to parade the flag and slowly the elaborate military display which makes up the modern Trooping of the Colour came into being. At the end of this ceremony, the pageant returns from Horse Guards' Parade back to Buckingham Palace. The route is line with many thousands of tourists, who usually enjoy this fine display of British pageantry.

Halloween is the next well known day. Among the old Celts it was the last day of the year and the beggining of winter when witches and ghosts were supposed to celebrate their rites. A favourite custom is to make a jack-o-lantern from a pumpkin that is scraped out and in which eyes, a nose and a mounth are cut and then a candle is light inside. Children celebrate it by dressing up in Halloween customs with masks over their faces. Carrying bascets or bags they go to their friends'and neighbours' houses adn they knock at the door or ring the bell. When people come to the door, children say " Trick or treat" which means "Give us a treat or we will play a trick on you." Then people treat the children with sweets, fruit or money. Rememberance day commemorates the coutry's war death, on that day in l9l8 World War I came to an end.Guy Fawkes Night on 5 November children celebrate with fireworks. On that day, in l605, the British parliament was saved from destruction when a plot to blow up the building was discovered in time. Christmas are well-known, so only in short. There are some differences between Slovak and English one. In our country ,the main emphasis is on Christmas Eve, and the festive meal is served in the evening. In England is Christmas more of a social event, the important day is Christmas day and the dinner is usually a midday meal. The meal in Britain is roast turkey and Christmas pudding, rather than fried carp, potato salad and various pastries. Slovak children hang up their stocking on 5 December while in Britain they do so on Christmas Eve. In the morning of the next day children enjoy unwrapping presents. New Year's Eve is a big festival in Scotland, where it is called Hogmanay. It begins with the arrival of the guests who have been invated to join the family to see in the New Year. They sit down to dinner which begins with haggins - Scotland's national food that consists of minced hearth, lungs and liver of a sheep, boiled in a sheep\'s stomach with oatmeal. Before midnight many townsfolk gather in the square, they sing and dance in the Scottish style. At midnight there is a great cheer, people cross arms, links hands for a traditional song "AULD LANG SYNE" Scottish people also considere lucky if a dark-haired man is the first to set foot in the house after midnight, bringing a coin,a piece of bread, and a coal as a symbol of plenty in the comming year.

    موضوعين عن الصداقة

Friendship isn't something that you can describe easily. When you talk about friendship, you are talking about love, loyalty, honesty and trust. Friends are special people. We can't pick our family, and we're sorely limited in the number of them at any rate. Society and more (and often our own conscience) dictate we select a single mate. But our friends can be as diverse and infinite as the adjectives we choose. Our friends, in a very real sense, reflect the choices we make in life.

    friendship
This leads to a sense of familiarity, which is expected, but it can also give a sense of intimacy, even friendship, which is wrong, because what’s going on here is not friendship, although inside us many of the feelings that come from being a regular reader of a weblog are the same ones we feel as we are developing a friendship, in the world evolution designed us for. But this is not that world.

And with this comes a tough lesson, and unfortunately it seems, you only learn this by living, television doesn’t teach it, schools don’t teach it, and if you’re above a certain age, our parents didn’t teach it. You have to learn it by living, by thinking of someone as a friend, only to find out they don’t think of you as a friend. It can be devastating, I know, I’ve been there myself. But all the wishing, all the manipulation, all the determination, just serves to push the would-be friend further away. Because friendship is something you choose to do, you don’t do it out of a sense of obligation. To force someone to be a friend is to not have a friend.

It’s not just something that happens with blogs, celebrity of any kind yields a false intimacy, they’ve made dozens of movies about it. The star is objectified. In the presence of a fan, the star is not a human, it’s an object, it behaves the way the fan wants it to behave. It signs the autograph, it smiles, it thanks. Stephen King wrote a horror story about this called Misery in which the pro***onist is bound, held hos***e and tortured by a fan. There’s an awful DeNiro movie, where he plays a fan who’s determined to be friends with a star, played by Jerry Lewis. It’s one of the few movies I’ve walked out on, it’s so hard to watch.

I learned a lot about friends when I got sick in 2002. I learned that a friend is someone I trust to be with me when I am at my weakest and most vulnerable. And they are people who, no matter how painful it is to see, are willing to be with me when I am so helpless and weak. If I would trust my life with you, and vice versa, we are friends. It’s not about whether you are trustworthy, or whether you are friendly, it’s the actual act of trust that is the basis of friendship. If I trust you to be truthful, then you’re a friend. If I find I must be careful how I say things, then it’s something other than friendship.

Friendship is not a state of mind, it’s an act. It’s something you do, it’s not about whether you’re good or not, it’s not a reflection of you, it’s a balanced relationship between people. That doesn’t mean it’s always balanced at every moment. Sometimes you “need a friend” and other times it’s the other way. It’s a trust that’s returned. When I was younger and thought I was in love, a friend said it’s not love unless it’s returned. Friendship and love are not quite the same thing, although there’s a lot of love around friendship. I learned that love isn’t even something about two people, it’s a state of being for one person. You aren’t in love, you are love. You are, whether you acknowledge it or not. The heart that’s pumping blood through your body is an act of love, 24 hours a day, whether you’re Mother Teresa or Adolf Hitler. (Sorry for the extreme example.)

There’s a world of difference between being a friend and being a fan. I’ve heard people who I’ve never met say we’re friends. And then of course when I do something they don’t like, I’ve betrayed the supposed friendship. They’re living in a dreamworld. The more popular my weblog has become the more people have this dream. It’s very puzzling to be the object in the middle of this swirl of emotions, I say object because my job isn’t to be truthful, my job is to be who you think I should be. Of course that’s not friendship, that’s torture.

In 1997 I wrote: “When a friend changes you can find the bond that’s connecting you at a deeper level. The surface stuff isn’t a good thing to depend on. Physical bodies change as they grow. So do emotional bodies and intellectual ones. Take a deep breath. People move, life is more like a wild dance than a ceremony. You just can’t tell what’s coming next.”

So if you find yourself trying to coerce someone into not changing, then dear reader, that is not friendship, that is coercion

    موضوع عن الامارات

My country the UAE is rich in culture and traditions. Lets explores the ancient traditions of the UAE many of which are widely practiced today.

    Fishing
The sea has always provided a valuable source of food for the people of the UAE.

    Boating
The Arab dhow is one of the most graceful sailing craft that one could encounter anywhere. The Trucial States were well known for the prowess of their sailors and the sleek lines of their vessels.

    Falconry
One of the most fascinating interactions between nature and man is that which takes place between the bird and its handler in Arabian falconry. The training of the falcon was completed by the day when the first houbaras arrived and the bedouin would hunt the bustards with his falcon throughout the winter months.

    The Date Palm
The relationship of the bedu with their palm trees is as important as that between man and his camel. Even though XXXX date palm and dromedary cannot be considered to be truly wild now, it was the bedu that tamed XXXX and put them to good use for his daily life.

The camel – God’s gift to the bedouin
The bedouin like to say that God has been fair because He gave them the ideal tree for their desert, but He has shown His bounty by giving them the camel as well. This animal is not only as superbly suited to the desert environment as the date palm, but it also provides for almost all the further needs of its owner. The camel gives the local tribesman his mobility.

    Pearls and Pearling
The lulu (locally called qamashah), or pearl oyster provided a source of local wealth in the emirates, long before the discovery of oil. Pearl oysters occur naturally on relatively shallow banks (fasht) in the Gulf. As pearling flourished, an increasing number of the able-bodied men participated in the dive (ghaus) during four months in the summer.

    The Arabian Horse
The Arabian horse is as much a part of Arab tradition in the UAE as the camel or falcon. Today great efforts are made to preserve the true character of the breed and the Arabian Horse Society in Abu Dhabi is at the forefront of this effort. The breed owes much to the discerning eye of Emirati and other Arabian horse owners who have always shown a fine appreciation of form and movement in the horse and cooperated to ensure that a purebred line was established.

    Music and Dance
The Emirates enjoys a strong tradition of music and dance which played a vital role in many aspects of its people’s lives. Songs were composed to accompany different tasks, from hauling water at the well, to diving for pearl-oysters out in the Gulf. In the latter case a professional song-leader was kept on the pearling dhows whose job it was to rally the men to work through music and song. The naha’an, as this person was known, would launch into song and all the sailors would join in as they worked. Each song had a rhythm for a particular task and, like the sea-shanties of western sailors, the music became an inspiration for good team-work.

Young girls would dance by swinging their long black hair and swaying their bodies in time to the strong beat of the music. Men would re-enact battles fought or successful hunting expeditions, often symbolically using sticks, swords or rifles.

Wright brothers returned once again to Dayton and began work to develop a fan and engine for the next step: the machine plane.
