لوصف إحتمال حدث ما نستعمل المصطلحات و الاعداد التالية:
مثال: القطعة النقدية لها وجهان "درهم" و "دله" و عند رميها على
الطاولة كلا الوجهين له نفس الحظ في الظهور.

2) لاحظ الكيس التالي (يحتوي على 10 كرات: 3 حمراء و 2 زرقاء و 5 خضراء)
ثم حدد إحتمال كل حدث من الاحداث التالية:
