ما تشاهدونه في هذه الصورة الرائعة ليس مبنى أسطوري لأحد أفلام الخيال العلمي، بل هو مبنى أسطوري من أرض الواقع يحمل اسم برج خليفة (أو برج دبي سابقاً)، والذي يعد أطول برج في العالم!
يقع برج خليفة المدهش في مدينة دبي بدولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وتمتلكه شركة إعمار العقارية التي تعد أحد أكبر الشركات العقارية في العالم!

حين نتحدث عن برج خليفة، فنحن لا نتحدث عن مبنى أو برج بالمفهوم الذي نعرفه، بل نتحدث عن أول مدينة عمودية متكاملة في العالم! حيث سيكون برج خليفة منزلاً لـ100,000 نسمة!! ويضم محلات تجاريةوأماكن للترفيه وفندقاً ومباني سكنية وأجنحة خاصة للمؤسسات وحديقة بانورامية!
ولتتخيلوا حجم برج خليفة، لنأخذ رحلة مصورة نتعرف فيها على هذا البرج بحقائق مدهشة، ثم سنختم هذه الرحلة بحفل افتتاح برج خليفة الذي استطاعت من خلاله دبي أن تخطف أنظار العالم أجمع!

يبلغ ارتفاع برج خليفة 828 متر، ولتتخيلوا طول هذا البرج انظروا لهذه الصورة من فوق برج خليفة (وكأننا فوق السحاب!)

بلغت تكلفة إنشاء برج خليفة 3.67 مليار درهم (حوالي مليار دولار)، وتبلغ مساحته الإجمالية 4,000,000 متر مربع، ويتكون البرج من 162 طابقاً، منهم 37 طابقاً كفندق ليضم 403 جناح فندقي، ويتميز فندق برج خليفة بأنه أول فندق في العالم يصممه المصمم الشهير جورجيو أرماني بنفسه!

بدأ العمل في برج خليفة في يناير 2004، واستهلك حوالي 330 ألف متر مكعب من الإسمنت المسلح، وحوالي 39 ألف طن متري من القضبان الفولاذية، ونحو 142 ألف متر مربع من الزجاج!!

تصوروا أنه تم استخدام 58,900 ياردة مكعبة من الأسمنت في بناء البرج، وهي كمية كافية لرصف طريق من دبي إلى دمشق! وهي كمية تساوي وزن 110,000 فيل!!

وما يثير الإعجاب حقاً هو أن برج خليفة مع كل روعته ليس نهاية المطاف، بل هو جزء من مشروع عمراني ضخم بقيمة 20 مليار دولار يتوقع أن يغير ملامح دبي تماماً، وتقول عنه شركة إعمار أنه سيكون “أرقى كيلومتر مربع على وجه الأرض”!!

وعلى الرغم من أن برج خليفة يشتهر بأنه أطول برج في العالم، إلا أن هذا السبق ليس الرقم القياسي الوحيد الذي حققه البرج، بل إن برج خليفة حاز أيضاً الأرقام القياسية التالية:

- أطول ناطحة سحاب في العالم بارتفاع 828 متر. (الرقم السابق كان لبرج تايبي 101 بارتفاع 509.2 متر)

- أطول بناء أنجزه الإنسان في العالم بارتفاع 828 متر. (الرقم السابق كان لمحطة وارسو الإذاعية بارتفاع 646.38 متر)

- المبنى الذي يحوي أكثر عدد من الطوابق بـ160 طابق. (الرقم السابق كان لمركز التجارة العالمي بـ110 طابق)

- أعلى مصاعد في العالم.

- أسرع مصعد في العالم بسرعة 64 كم/ساعة. (الرقم السابق كان لبرج تيابيه 101 بسرعة 16.83 في الثانية)

- أعلى ارتفاع تصل إليه عملية ضخ الأسمنت في العالم بارتفاع 605 متر.

- أعلى شرفة مراقبة مفتوحة للجمهور في العالم.

- أطول مسافة يقطعها مصعد في العالم.

- أعلى مسجد في العالم على ارتفاع 600 متر.

- أسرع شبكة إنترنت لاسلكية في العالم بسرعة 21 ميجابت في الثانية!

بقدر ما أذهلت دبي العالم ببرجها المدهش، بقدر ما استطاعت أن تحبس أنفاسه بحفل افتتاح خطفت به أبصار الجميع، حيث افتتح الشيخ محمد بن راشد يوم 4 يناير 2010 برج خليفة في احتفال شاهده 2 مليار شخص حول العالم، وإليكم هذه اللقطات من حفل الافتتاح الرائع:
شمل حفل الافتتاح عروض ضوء وصوت بجانب عروض مائية رائعة من نافورة دبي, حيث استخدم فيه 868 جهاز إضاءة عالي الطاقة، وتم ربط هذه الأجهزة بنظام تقني متطور لتقديم 50 عرض ضوئي مختلف ومتناغم مع تصميم البرج.
ثم انتهى الحفل بأعلى وأكبر ألعاب نارية في العالم من خلال حوالي 10,000 لعبة نارية!
