Ok, that's not the whole story. You need three of these little pieces and you interlock them to make a triangle; each of these triangles is one face of the object, except that each triangle has three little half-pieces hanging out from its edges, and these half-pieces get used in making the triangle faces that are adjacent to the one you started with
